Where else but Bellagio could an economist, a painter, a poet, and an astrophysicist connect to discuss the solutions needed to address the most pressing issues of our time? The Bellagio Center supports the cross-pollination of ideas and solutions that will unlock the breakthroughs we need for a better future.
The residency program offers:
- Up to four weeks at The Rockefeller Foundation’s Bellagio Center in Lake Como, Italy
- Room and board with a private studio for working
- A shared community of up to 15 scholars, artists, and practitioners from all over the world
- Residents can bring a partner/significant other to join them for all or a portion of their residency (please note that we are not able to accommodate children or other family members)
- Travel funding is available when there is financial need
- Future participation in an international network of Bellagio Center alumni
Residents are:
- Leaders in their fields with a proven track record of accomplishment and influence
- Forward-looking, with a history of breakthrough ideas or actions that have had significant impact at the local, national or global level
- Diverse, representing many backgrounds and perspectives, as well as a broad range of fields, areas of practice, and expertise
- Committed to The Rockefeller Foundation’s mission to promote the well-being of humanity
- Curious, collegial, and collaborative—open to giving and receiving feedback from a diverse group of fellow residents
